The Kingdom of Thailand is approx 198,114 square miles (513,115 square kilometers) and has borders with Burma, Laos, Cambodia in the north and Malaysia in the south.It is divided into Five main regions.The North Region which borders Burma( Union of Myanmar) and Laos The Northeastern Region, also known as Isan.The Central Region, which has the capital Bangkok( Krung Thep Maha Nakhon).The Eastern Region, which has the popular resort of Pattava.Finally the Southern region which stretches down to Malaysia. Here you will find Hau Hin a popular destination for both Thai and Falang( term used by Thais to describe all foreigner's)
